Michaela had recently been proposed to by her boyfriend, Jared. Five months before the Flight, Michaela was in a car accident where her friend was killed.
During Flight 828
Michaela decided to accept Jared's proposal. She puts on the ring and tries to text him but is unable to, due to no service.
